KOSTAL PIKO Inverters family is complete
Back

The completion of the PIKO family has been concluded with the introduction of the smaller sizes PIKO 4.2 to PIKO 8.5. The product portfolio of KOSTAL Solar Electric, is now available in the innovative garb of the new inverter generation. These four three-phase devices also fit in with the “all-in-one” concept, which stands for a high degree of flexibility, comprehensive communications equipment and a high level of practicality.

The new generation of PIKO inverters offers even more flexible possibilities for usage. Thanks to the broad input voltage range of the PIKO, the PV modules of the system can be connected flexibly, which enables the formation of differing string lengths. In order that PV systems can function optimally on the most varied roof surfaces, the PIKO 4.2 to 8.5 are equipped with up to 2 MPP trackers. At the same time, the most varied module types can be selected for the PV system; the PIKO meets high current requirements and is thus also equipped for high-performance modules. Thanks to the connectable three-phase current sensor, the PIKO BA Sensor, optimal self-consumption can be achieved. The sensor regulates the power at the feed-in point into the public grid and simultaneously measures building consumption. This ensures that a maximum of produced solar energy is used in the building.

Following the successful commissioning and configuration of the PIKO, you can very comfortably monitor your PV system via the PIKO Solar Portal or the PIKO Solar App, which is now available for Android and for iOS operating systems. The recording of the individual units of information of the PV system is also possible directly through the inverter display via three capacitive buttons. The investment in a PV system is thus well-protected. The PIKO inverters are Smart Home and EEBus-compatible, which enables direct networking with other household devices. The EEBus networking technology is being promoted and vigorously established on the market by a network of well-known electronics manufacturers, of which KOSTAL is of course also a member. One especially advantageous feature of the new PIKO inverter generation is the “all-in-one” concept: when planning the PV system, no additional components need be considered. Everything needed is already in the PIKO.

The inverter demonstrates a high level of practicality through its low weight, which enables installation that saves time and energy. The handling of the devices is also made even easier by the new recessed grips on the sides. If you wish to still make changes following installation of the PIKO, this is very easily possible thanks to the accessible and protected connection area.

With the new PIKO inverter generation, KOSTAL has expanded the product range without having to dispense with the familiar and proven advantages of the “all-in-one” concept.
